Taking place on Saturday August 7th
, the Piccolo Fondo
is designed for the beginner, looking to take part in the 2021 Noosa Strade Bianche
Perfect for those looking to experience the thrill of cycling on the ‘Strade Bianche’, or gravel roads. Although the Piccolo Fondo is our shortest Strade Bianche event at 33km, it still features a demanding gravel climb and descent section to test your skills.
The Piccolo Fondo takes in approximately 300m of vertical climb, making it a good test. The route will be marked on event day at relevant intersections. Participants ride in a single ‘peloton’ with the aim of re-grouping after climbs etc. As this is a beginners ride, there is a ‘no drop’ policy during the ride.
Coffee and refreshments will be available for purchase at the top of ‘Tank Hill’, a welcomed re-group point on the ride.
‘On the Go Expresso’ did a great job keeping up with demand again this year!
The Noosa Strade Bianche is a not for profit event and a worthy cause is supported each year.
